Hey, Pardner, don’t forget that tomorrow is Western Day! Dust off those boots and mosey on down to Florence during your student’s co-curr!

The man in the red suit is coming to Florence! That’s right, Saturday, December 9, 9 until 11 a.m., Santa will be eating breakfast with our Florence Falcons… what a treat! More information to be coming soon, but go ahead and mark your calendars for this fun event.
Our Angel Tree started this morning and will run for two weeks. Included on the tree are angel requests for both Florence ES and N. Riverside ES students. These gifts are due back by December 12th… and don’t forget to sign the notebook as you get your angel. Thank you, Florence Falcon Families!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year… and maybe the busiest, too! This week is Penguin Patch, where Florence Falcons get to buy sweet gifts for parents, siblings, grandparents and friends. It’s always a favorite event! Please consider donating an hour of your time this week and volunteering in the Patch. Kids need help figuring out what to buy (so many choices!) and help with money. Here’s the handy link to the sign-up form: http://signup.com/go/
Fly over to Bidding Owl and check out all that’s available for our Silent Auction and start your bidding. Remember: Silent Auction, Fall Festival AND “Battle of the Bowls” Chili Cook-off is next weekend! Thanks, Falcon Families!
A few reminders for Grandparents’ Day this week (Thursday and Friday):
– Our “grand” friends will need to their drivers’ licenses.
– Please allow a little time for parking.
– Many area restaurants (i.e. the Chick-fil-A drive-thru!) will be busy, so keep that in mind if you’re picking up food.
– We are SO thankful for our “grand” friends and hope they have a great time visiting with their Florence students!
It’s Reflections Time! There’s a flyer in your student’s folder, but here’s what you need to know…
-All entries are due Friday, November 3!
-Guidelines, official rules, and entry forms can be found on the TXPTA website: http://www.txpta.org/reflections-participation
-All entries must be the original work of the student and must support the theme “Within Reach.”
-Artistic categories include: dance choreography, literature, film production, photography, visual arts, and music composition.
So, let those kids get creative, have fun, and please let us know if you have any questions!
Hey, Falcon Parents! Don’t forget to turn in your Grandparents’ Day form AND stay tuned for volunteer opportunities! There are extra copies of the flyer in the FES office if anyone has lost theirs. Can’t wait to meet those “grands”!
